We built a system that made the process of buying and selling photos as easy and convenient as possible for clients and photographers.

Our task was to create a platform for sports photographers that would allow them to upload large volumes of files, automatically apply watermarks, and send photos to clients with minimal costs for photographers. We encountered several challenges when trying to host photos on existing services.
It was decided to create a platform with two main components: a website on Tilde and a personal account on the server

Now the buying process for a customer looks like this
They follow a link from social media, search engines, or a direct link on the competition's website.
The buyer visits the photographer's website
All photos on the website are sorted by events and categories, allowing the buyer to quickly locate the needed images.

After adding all the desired photos to the cart, the customer fills in their contact details and completes the payment.

As it was before us
The client would enter the photographer's Google Drive, search through hundreds of photos to find the ones they wanted, take screenshots, and contact the photographer manually. The photographer would then calculate the total cost, the client would transfer money to a bank card, and wait up to 3 working days for the photos to be sent.
Oleg didn’t have a unified platform for efficiently selling photos, and the purchasing process was complex for both the photographer and the client. This significantly impacted the professional's profits
The workflow: here's how the process looks for the photographer from a technical perspective:

We purchased a server and hosted the admin panel on it with the following features:
Creation of new events
Creation of categories within events
Uploading photos by categories
Ability to modify the watermark design
Tracking of completed orders and sending errors
Revenue statistics for the selected period
Display of available storage space on the server
Creating an event
After each competition, the photographer creates an event with subcategories, for example, "Competition in Ufa" (portraits, group performances, solo performances, fan zones, etc.), sets the price for the photo in each category, and uploads the photos to each category.
Uploading Photos
Photos can be uploaded in two ways:
Select and drag files directly from the device.
Upload photos to a folder on the server and specify the folder name in the event for automatic upload.
Automatic photo processing
After creating the event and uploading files, the automatic algorithm is activated:
Saving original photos on the server for sending to clients after purchase
Automatic watermark application
Compression of photos before uploading to the website for faster loading
Uploading compressed photos to the website into created events and their categories, with watermarks and pricing
Photos are available on the website
After that, the photos are automatically available for purchase on the website. Any changes made through the admin panel appear on the site automatically, without any additional actions from the photographer.

We implemented gradual loading of the catalog to optimize the page viewing speed.

Restriction on downloading and copying photos without purchase.
In addition to watermark protection, we have implemented a restriction on copying photos by right-clicking.
